Early Childhood

Nursery (provided for all Newborns - 2 year olds at all weekly Kids' Ministries.)

Our nurseries are provided for newborns through two year olds on Sundays during the 9:00 am, 10:45 am, and 6:00 pm worship services to meet the needs of your child as well as Wednesdays at 6:45 pm. Nurseries open 15 minutes before service and please pick your child up 10 minutes after service ends. For more information about the check-in process see the "Safety and Security" button on the Kids' Ministry Home Page.

In order to insure the safety and health of the little ones, we cannot accept children into our nurseries with the following illnesses or symptoms: Fever greater than 99 degrees must not be present 24 hours prior to service; Colored discharge from nose, eyes, or ears; Excessive coughing; Diarrhea; Impetigo; Chicken Pox; Measles; Mumps; or Pink Eye.

If your child is being treated with antibiotics, he/she should be on the drug for at least 48 hours before coming to the nursery. Also, we cannot administer any medications to your child.

We do this for the wellness of all the children under our care and responsibility.

Early Childhood(3 year olds-Kindergarten)

Early Childhood classes are offered during the Sunday 9:00am and 10:45am services. Our classes are based on the age requirement for the Fort Wayne Community Schools kindergarten start date, which is August 1st.

Tell Me the Story is for kids 3 years old (by August 1st) - Kindergarten (on Wed 6:45pm). It introduces the kids to the story of God.

Preschool Pals is a monthly group of moms and preschoolers that gathers in various locations.  For more information, contact church office, watch the church bulletin, or see the Shema Times.

It is our desire and goal that your child be as safe as possible while they are in our care. Our staff loves that they can provide a service for your kids and make a difference in their growing lives!

Safety and Security

Check-in

Upon arriving at Grace Point, you will go to a check-in counter. At this check-in counter, a greeter will get some basic information from you. For example, name, address, phone number, email, allergies your child might have, etc.

Then, your child will be given a sticker name badge with their name on it. You will receive a sticker with a code on it that matches the code on your child's name badge.

When the worship service is over and you return to pick up your child, show the code on your sticker to the attendant or teacher. This will insure that your child goes home with you.

During check-in, it will prompt you for your cell phone number. This enables you to worship knowing that if your child needs you, you can be easily reached.

Health Safety

In order to insure the safety and health, we cannot accept children into our nurseries or classes with the following illnesses or symptoms: Fever greater than 99 degrees; Colored discharge from nose, eyes, or ears; Excessive coughing; Diarrhea; Impetigo; Chicken Pox; Measles; Mumps; or Pink Eye.

If your child is being treated with antibiotics, he/she should be on the drug for at least 48 hours before coming to the nursery or class. Also, we cannot administer any medications to your child.

We do this for the wellness of all the children under our care and responsibility.

Volunteers

We have a great volunteer staff that takes care of the kids on a weekly basis. Every room is staffed with at least 2 attendants/teachers. All adult volunteers have completed and passed a criminal background check.

It is our desire and goal that your child be as safe as possible while they are in our care. Our staff loves that they can provide a ministry for your children and make a difference in their growing lives!
