Children's Choirs

Do your children want opportunities in music and interaction with fellow students?  We have two elementary age children's choirs at Grace Point! "1-2-3 Shine" is for students in 1st-3rd grade and "His Fuel" is for students in 4th-6th grade. They meet from September through May from 5:00-5:45 every Sunday evening.

As they practice and rehearse throughout the year, there are opportunities for these groups to be involved in performance events.  During the Fall, the choirs rehearse and prepare for the Kids' Christmas Service on the first Sunday of December.  During the Spring, each choir will prepare music for worship throughout the Spring. "1-2-3 Shine" ministers to the congregation on Mother's Day. "His Fuel" works on Glove and Stick Routines during this semester. Both choirs will minister together in the Spring Kids' Service during April.

Seasonal Ministries

Upward Soccer: a first-class sports experience that emphasizes healthy competition, sportsmanship, skills building and fun versus the “win-at-all-costs” mentality found in many children sports leagues. Our Upward season runs from August through October.  Click here for more information.

Summer Camps: We have 3 camps each summer. Rookie Camp is for girls and guys entering 2nd & 3rd grade in the Fall. Girls' Camp is for girls entering 4th-6th grade in the Fall and Guys' Camp is for guys entering 4th-6th grade in the Fall. Each week of camp will be during July, typically the 2nd, 3rd and 4th week of the month.

Vacation Bible School: Each Summer, kids 3 years old - entering 7th grade are invited to come to the church Sunday evening-Thursday evening for a time of fun and learning about God.

Safety and Security

Upon arriving at Grace Point, you will go to a check-in counter. At this check-in counter, a greeter will get some basic information from you. For example, name, address, phone number, email, allergies your child might have, etc.

Then, your child will be given a sticker name badge with their name on it. You will receive a sticker with a code on it that matches the code on your child's name badge.

When the worship service is over and you return to pick up your child, show the code on your sticker to the attendant or teacher. This will insure that your child goes home with you.

During check-in, it will prompt you for your cell phone number. This enables you to worship knowing that if your child needs you, you can be easily reached.

Health Safety

In order to insure the safety and health, we cannot accept children into our nurseries or classes with the following illnesses or symptoms: Fever greater than 99 degrees; Colored discharge from nose, eyes, or ears; Excessive coughing; Diarrhea; Impetigo; Chicken Pox; Measles; Mumps; or Pink Eye.

If your child is being treated with antibiotics, he/she should be on the drug for at least 48 hours before coming to the nursery or class. Also, we cannot administer any medications to your child.

We do this for the wellness of all the children under our care and responsibility.

We have a great volunteer staff that takes care of the kids on a weekly basis. Every room is staffed with at least 2 attendants/teachers. All adult volunteers have completed and passed a criminal background check.

It is our desire and goal that your child be as safe as possible while they are in our care. Our staff loves that they can provide a ministry for your children and make a difference in their growing lives!

What does Shema mean?

It is a Hebrew word meaning: to hear or to listen and obey. The scripture Shema Kids is based on is Deuteronomy 6:4-9.

We are striving to teach our students to hear God and act on what they have heard.

We do this by learning to:

Serve God

Honor the Word

Encourage Others

Minister to the World

Abandon to God
